Where Do New Ideas Come From

New ideas come from all over the place. They come from peoples thoughts and imagination. Some peoples imaginations are not the smartest of all idea, but we can make that crazy idea turn into a good idea. A lot of people also get ideas from past experiences and trial and error. Past experiences help generate ideas because they help you think how to finds ways to get past your old problems. Some people think about new ideas when there is a war or big conflict going on, for example, US physicists, mathematician, and engineers created the atomic bomb because they needed a way for Japan to surrender. In the end after the bomb was dropped, Japan surrendered a month later.

My Favorite Story-What Makes A Good Story

My favorite story from the short story unit was 'Thank You Ma'm', which takes place in a runned down area in New York City area. It's about a boy who tries to steal a lady's purse to buy some blue suede shoes, unfotunatly, the lady is a very big and tough person. The boy slips and falls while attempting to steal her purse, when he does, the lady picks up the boy and takes him to her house to teach him right from wrong. She feeds him and at the end, he gets the diference between right from wrong. She lets the boy go and gives him $10 to get some blue suede shoes.

What makes a good story: What makes a good story is for the story to have a good plot so that the reader can't stop reading. Characters have to be described well, so that the reader can imgine them. The setting has to be interesting so that the reader can picture it too. Without these elements in a story, the reader might not be "into" your book.
